“I see photography as that eye-catching moment that’s passing, and one which is authentic.” Adele Dejak. In our last blog, Photographic works using nature as a backdrop, we saw Adele being both a designer and photographer. She is used to carrying her camera almost everywhere, making her job her hobby. She always quotes “I love sharing my work as much as possible; I can see the most beautiful view in the world, but if I don’t capture it with my camera and publish it, it’s like I didn’t see it at all.” I got to work with Randy Gowon, one of my…

Daphne  Guiness is a British and Irish fashion designer, art collector, model, musician, film producer and actor. She is an heir by direct descent of the 18th century Irish brewer Arthur Guinness. In keeping up with the 90’s theme that has been all the rage for over a year now, is the choker style necklace. The choker has been seen  both on and off catwalks by designers such as Olivier Rousteing of Balmain, Christia Dior just to name a few, taking their versions to the next level. The choker is a simple accessory to upscale your ensemble in different styles from day to evening. It’s easy to see the choker’s appeal: it’s a cool-girl nod to ’90s grunge, it doesn’t interfere with your outfit, it complements everything and it acts like a built-in…

The building collapsed due to its lack of adherence to safety and security standards. The building was bound to collapse eventually but despite that, nothing was done to prevent it. Some major fashion brands were sourcing their garments from that same factory. They did some damage control (good PR) after the unfortunate calamity and showed the world how they had improved the place, waited for people to forget and continued with their business as usual….

“Gift giving is part of the culture no matter where you are and no matter how long you stay.”Chrystalyn Brannen There is no community without gift and gifting. The acts themselves may not be visible, they may not have names, they may elude materiality, and yet, we depend on them for our very existence as givers and receivers.  And with the endless need to express ourselves to our loved ones we use gifts to showcase warmth, recognition, care and love in our special and unique ways.
