This stylish clutch bag is made from handmade Mud cloth handcrafted in Mali. Mud cloth is also known as Bògòlanfini or bogolan and is a handmade Malian cotton fabric. It is an amazing African tradition from West Africa. Cotton is dyed with fermented mud or a variety of natural dyes including river mud that has been aged up to one year. The technique of production is simple by stitching together narrow strips of hand-woven cotton to make a whole cloth, then painted with patterns and symbols. It has an important place in traditional Malian culture and has; more recently, become a symbol of Malian cultural identity.
Embracing African culture is the brand mission and this clutch can double up as a wallet.
Our Kaya clutch features a small tassel on the zip that adds an extra touch of style.
Inside there is lots of space ideal for storing your most treasured items for women on the go.
The cloth is used for our Kaya bag to an original portrayal of embracing African traditions with while staying faithful to our brand aesthetic.
